Re: Librarians Acting as Copyright Managers

At those universities that have university presses, the staff of 
these presses should be another local resource to tap about 
advice on copyright issues. Generally speaking, because they need 
to know a lot about copyright law to conduct their own 
businesses, press staff often are more expert on these issues 
than university counsel or the staff at the university's 
intellectual property office, which mostly concentrates on patent 
law rather than copyright.
