A Guide to its Use


To limit your search to one of the following categories of publication:
books (bks), serials (ser), printed music (mus),  sound recordings (rec),
visual materials  including videos (vim) TYPE

set lim mat <three letter code for the file or files you wish to search>
e.g. set lim mat sco rec would search for both printed music and
recordings.

To truncate a search type ?

To chain commands type  ;    e.g.  set  lim mat sco ; fin  au satie, erik

If your search retrieves 250 or fewer records you may choose to SORT your
search result by

AUTHOR   Author's name
TITLE         Title of work
DATE          Date of publication

DOWN       Add after any option to reverse the order for that option

To find related items -- for example with the same author or subject
headings or series type like <line no.>

You may limit a search by date, country of publication, language or
location of the holding library
