SQIC Assessment Group Notes and Action Items

Minutes:
1. Reference Assessment. Tony and Pam updated the group about
their meeting with the SQI Reference Group. The timeline will be pushed
back since that group is also working on collaborative digital reference.
Charlie Greenberg will help develop a draft of the instrument and Pamela
and Tony will meet with him before meeting again with the full Reference
Group. They plan to attend the group's meeting next week.
2. OPAC usability testing. Jen briefed the group about progress
on the usability test and distributed a draft of the questions. She
and Holly will meet with the OPAC group tomorrow to finalize the scope
of the test, and then she, Holly and Katie, who will be administering
the test, will meet with Audrey to be able to answer any incidental
questions about the implementation process. Jen is finalizing the script
which will guide the usability test. Holly received good response to
the message she sent to select-l to gather names of participants. She
will need to round it out with science/medical names. It will be a good
mix of faculty and students from various disciplines.
3. Assessment Toolkit. Jennifer and Pamela will send the final,
edited files to Holly who will mount them in the official /assessment
directory. We will review this one more time as a group at our meeting
on April 3 and will release it soon after, along with a note to yulib-l
about our group's activities.
4. Announcements: There were no announcements.
Action Items:
ALL: By Friday, test the draft questions from the usability test on
http://yaledb.library.yale.edu and report any questions/confusion to
Jen. Also suggest any alternative wording to the labels you see.
