Minutes
Present: Barbara Amato, Mary Angelotti, Susan Burdick, Carol Jones,
Dana Peterman
Absent: Martha Clark
ILLiad Borrowing issues were discussed.
Rlin 21 is the first search mechanism you use after looking in Orbis.
New accounts need to be assigned before the end of September. Carol
Jones is in consultation with Patricia Thurston, the client administrator
for RLIN21 accounts regarding profiles. Carol announced that the SFX
search connection w/ ILLiad is working. Law and Medical may want to
get separate accounts. We will look at the session and searching costs.
OCLC passport is going away.
OCLC ILL web is going away.
We will use First Search for resource sharing tool. Eventually this
information will be imported into ILLiad when the Patron logs in, timeline
is unknown.
We will also use WorldCat to find OCLC #s and Lending Libraries.
Patron authentication will auto-clear when there is an email with @yale.edu.
Other patrons will be manually cleared.
Katie Bauer reported that in PMID (for Medical journals) the information
was not always transferring correctly using SFX. She is working on this.
ILLiad lending issues were discussed.
When a book is returned, we need to make sure that the item is received
in ILLiad and checked in Orbis.
Shipping Manager
We will be inviting the shipping manager to a D2C2 meeting in the near
future. Please make a list of your shipping and delivery concerns.
