Document Delivery Coordinating Committee
Meeting minutes for 05/29/02
Present: Carol Jones, Denise Hersey(Chair), Susan Burdick, Martha Clark,
Mary Angelotti, Barbara Amato, Maureen Jones
Absent: Jennifer Kostelnik
I. Announcements: Wesley Most, who has been working with us on our
eDD and Illiad projects, has resigned. Other Systems staff will be taking
over our current projects.
II. ILL Code due dates- The ILL Code, which was revised and approved
in 2001, now states that due dates for borrowed materials refers to
the date that the item is to be checked in at the supplying library.
OCLC's default due date assumes that the due date is the date on which
the borrowing library sends items back to their home libraries. Carol
Jones wanted to just make everyone aware of this in case another library
brings up the issue.
III. "Shaping Service Quality"- The group reviewed this document,
created by members of the SQIC committee, which contains success factors
and service guarantees for Document Delivery, amongst other services.
Carol will consider our comments and concerns when she addresses SQIC
about this document.
IV. Illiad Request Forms- We reviewed the request forms which Illiad
automatically supplies. We chose to offer four: Request a copy, Request
a loan, Request a Conference Paper, Request a Thesis or Dissertation.
