Sometimes a work with a single bibliographic
record can have parts of different sizes shelved with different call numbers.
For example an octavo volume of text accompanied by a folio atlas of plates,
or a quarto volume of text accompanied by a folded map that is unfolded and
shelved as a broadsize. In these situations make a local note describing
the material that is shelved separately. Also make separate holdings records
for each piece. One holdings record is for the "text" and an additional
record(s) for the other pieces. Sometimes an 866 field is needed to provide
additional detail.
