Cataloging of BeineckeMaterial by Other Teams

The Rare Book Team enlists the assistance
of other teams for cataloging items in languages outside of the team's expertise.
- the Hebraica Team catalogs Hebrew
and Yiddish titles
- the Slavic and Eastern European
team catalogs Slavic language materials
- the Near East Team catalogs Arabic
materials, and the East Asian Cataloging Team catalogs CJK (Chinese, Japanese,
or Korean) materials.
The Rare Book Team leader acts as liaison
with the other cataloging teams and is responsible for keeping track of items
sent to other teams for cataloging. The Rare Book Team assigns the call numbers
and provides for any special notes or tracings following Beinecke Library procedures.
