The Yale University Library maintains an enterprise education license for the full suite of ESRI Software products. Licensing for the software is server-based, and the software may be obtained in the following ways:

Faculty/Staff - Two installation packages are available to faculty & staff on the Yale Software Site. One includes the basic ArcGIS Desktop component of the ArcGIS Suite and tutorial data. The second package includes the ArcGIS Desktop Software and tutorial data, as well as the ArcInfo Workstation and VBA Developer Kit. Both packages include automated installation and registration of the license server, as well as automatic patching of the packages with the latest Service Packs.

Students - The Yale University Library Map Collection makes Student Evaluation Versions of the latest release of ArcGIS Desktop available to students, at no cost. These packages are licensed at the ArcView level for one year from the time of installation and registration.
