Along with PRORENA (Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies) The Map Collection GIS Service has recently purchased a Panama GIS data set from Eon Systems. This abundant data set includes themes such as hydrology, roads, land cover, vegetation, elevation, and Census data.
