Hand-painted with cupids and flowers, one matching cup and saucer are each monogrammed with the initial "L," standing for Louis XV.

The other set was described in the Strawberry Hill Sale Catalogue for 1842 as "A beautiful lilac ground variegated pattern old Sevres China cabinet cup and saucer, the paintings enriched by Birds, of brilliant plumage."
