This sketchbook contains Agnes Berry's original watercolors and pencil drawings, in addition to her nineteenth-century prints. The book is inscribed to "Margaret Graves," and is dated 1830-35. In October 1790, the Berry sisters were accompanied by their father on a yearlong tour of Italy. Much to Walpole's relief, the Berrys returned via Basel, Augsburg, and Brussels, thus avoiding the dangerous conditions in France that were brought on by the Revolution.
