The entrance to Strawberry Hill is seen from the road to Teddington and Hampton Court. From the bay window of the Holbein Chamber to the right of the front door, Walpole could look down an avenue of trees to the river. This drawing, which was later engraved, is from Walpole's extra-illustrated copy of the 1784 Description of Strawberry Hill.
