Monograph and Pamphlet Binding
Monograph and pamphlet binding is a process during which books and pamphlets are bound in durable covers. Monographs and pamphlets are bound to conform with Library Binding Institute standards and uses sturdy coated cloth covers with acid free boards and endpapers, and acid free pamphlet binders. Only materials that are strong enough to withstand binding and have no artifactual or intrinsic value are sent to the commercial binder. Please see our binding policy for more information.
The books sent out for binding come from various departments, libraries, and collections around the campus. The turn-around time for Bridgeport National Bindery is generally two weeks, but rush books can be returned in one week.
If you are interested in more information about commercial binding, please contact Robert Klingenberger, Head of DRVS.
