Digitizing Arabic Text: A Workshop

Yale University Library and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina are partnering to offer a week-long workshop on digitizing Arabic text at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria Egypt. The workshop will be held from December 3-8 2007. This intensive workshop will offer basic to advance training in digitizing, OCR, and workflow techniques.

This workshop is supported by funding from the US Department of Education, under its Title VI TICFIA program and is part of the Project AMEEL grant (Arabic and Middle Eastern Electronic Library). Yale University Library and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina are providing additional support.
