- Prototyping:
We laid out pages using HTML to visualize the repository design for the patron searching full text content. These
pages are set up to simulate the discovery and reading process. Some minimal navigation is active, and the Table
of contents can be viewed. Take a look at the design prototype.
- A directory of Internet resources:
We developed a directory of metadata entries culled from several sources: 1) the OACIS catalog, 2) gathering
web pages from academic sources, 3) compiling links to popular online magazines, and 4) experimenting with OAI harvesting.
We designed a basic front-end to permit searching of these various data types and to begin usability testing.

- A Full Text repository using the Fedora framework
Using lessons learned from the two earlier design tasks, and working with the repository framework provided by Fedora,
we began expermenting with digitized pages from selected journals to learn how best to provide for searching Arabic text deposited
in the repository.
