Services
for persons with disabilities
The
Yale University Library's services for persons
with disabilities page outlines our policies, available adaptive
technologies, and contact people at each library. For computing,
the A&A Library features an adjustable table, a PC with a large
screen, a large print keyboard, and trackball.
Student
Shelves
Students with valid Yale IDs may sign up for student shelves in
the Art & Architecture Library. You may designate a small collection
of library books to your student shelf which saves you from having
to search for the same titles over and over again. Although anyone
can check out a book temporary located on your student shelf, that
book will be returned to your student shelf when it is returned
to the library. Please note that all shelves are usually claimed
at the beginning of each academic semester. For more information
or to find out about shelf availablity, call the A&A Circulation
Desk - 432-2645.
'Remote
access to Yale resources
If you have a NetID and password, you may access library resources
from off-campus using remote authentication proxy server. Directions
are available at here.
Wireless

The Art & Architecture Library and the Drama Library now support
wireless access to the internet. Information on this program can
be found at the ITS
wireless page. General information about roaming
network access is also available. The
Art & Architecture Library has an ethernet connection for laptops
at the desk outside the grad room.
Public
Workstations
The Arts Library has research workstations available for use by
Library patrons. These workstations are for library-related research
and do not contain productivity software such as Microsoft Office.
(Students can use ITS Cluster machines containing productivity software).
You may check email but please be courteous to fellow patrons who
are waiting to use the workstations for research. Many libraries
around campus, in the Art and Architecture library have workstations
reserved for email use. (The A&A email workstation is located
on the first floor by the elevators.)
