Rules for Use of the Library Buildings
- Classroom and Group Study Room users must respect others using the Library by:
- Consuming food only in the Thain Family Café or The Selin Courtyard.
NO FOOD IS PERMITTED ELSEWHERE IN THE BASS LIBRARY OR STERLING MEMORIAL LIBRARY. Non-alcoholic beverages may be taken into any part of the Library in approved, spill-proof containers.
- Respecting the Library’s quiet environment, by limiting noise. Use of cell phones and pagers should be kept to a minimum.
- You are welcome to bring cameras into the Library but please be aware that the University does not permit photography or filming for commercial purposes inside any University building. See the Library’s policy on Photographing or Filming in Library Buildings for details.
- Posters must be placed only on bulletin boards in designated locations. Advertising is not permitted elsewhere in the libraries.
- Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards are not permitted inside libraries.
- No smoking is permitted anywhere inside the libraries or within 20 feet of building entrances.
