Library
This section contains the complete text of the The Beinecke Rare Book
& Manuscript Library A Guide to the Collections published
in print in 1994. Separate chapters describe in detail the General Collection
of Rare Books and Manuscripts, the Collection of American Literature,
the Collection of Western Americana, the Collection of German Literature,
and the Osborn Collection.
Searching Online
Catalogs
This section provides general guidance in the use of the online catalogs
-- Orbis and the Yale University Library's Finding Aid Database -- as
well as specialized databases including the Beinecke
Digital Images database. Links to other pages describe advanced
searching options for online catalogs and published catalogs of collections
held by the Library. For information about holdings not represented
online, contact the appropriate curator
or the Public Services Department.
Recent Acquisitions
For information about selected recent acquisitions of the Beinecke Library,
you may refer to the twice-yearly lists compiled by the Beinecke curators.
