American Literature

Pat Willis is in the process of trying to build collections of Native American, Mexican American, and Asian American literature. To facilitate her work and to make the material readily findable by scholars, she has requested the following local subject headings in addition to any applicable LC headings:

Native American literature
Mexican American literature
Asian American literature

Western Americana

We use Overland journeys to the Pacific divided chronologically by year of the journey, and code it as a local subject heading, as LC does not allow the chron. subdivision.
