DAY 1  Morning  --Introductions, outline, welcome, etc.

 --USMARC Authority Format (focus on Z1 (yellow pages), fixed fields, & 670) 

Afternoon  --Searching (why, where, how much is required)

 --Utility input/update practice 

DAY 2  Morning  --Chapter 22: Personal names (review AACR2; focus on LCRIs)

 --Chapter 26: References (personal names) 

Afternoon  --Practicum in searching & establishing personal names 
DAY 3  Morning  --Chapter 24: Corporate bodies (review AACR2; focus on LCRIs)

 --Chapter 26: References (corporate names)

 --Division of the world (Subject Cataloging Memo H405--Subject vs. Names file) 

Afternoon  --Practicum in searching & establishing corporate names 
DAY 4  Morning  --Chapter 26: References (remaining portion; review personal & corporate names)

 --Chapter 23: Geographic names (focus on LCRIs)

 --Chapter 25: Uniform titles (focus on LCRIs) 

Afternoon  --Practicum in establishing corporate, geographic, and personal names, etc. 
DAY 5  Morning  --Review & wrap-up

 --Administration & communication

 --Contribution of subject heading proposals

 --Demo of LC MARVEL; LOCIS searching, etc.
