1. CCC members should send Joan the names of staff in their units who require a Voyager cataloging authorizations. The list should include the nature of their work so that the appropriate authorization is assigned.

Voyager Cataloging Security Profiles

Under the “Cat” column, go to “Policies & Procedures: General”.

The following profiles are intended for staff working outside of the Catalog Management Team. These profiles are based on current job descriptions and accompanying profiles for existing staff levels.

1. For Non-Technical Services Staff:
View Only
Allows staff to view bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records

2. For Support Staff in Catalog and Acquisitions Departments:
Support Staff Copy Cataloging
Allows staff:
to view bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to add bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to update bibliographic, holdings, and item records
to delete item records
to export bibliographic records
to export holdings (not current local or national practice, although this feature might become available in the future)

3. For Catalog Librarians:
Catalog Librarian
Allows staff:
to view bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to add bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to update bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to delete bibliographic, holdings, item, and authority records
to export bibliographic records
to export holdings (not current local or national practice, although this feature might become available in the future)

2. Please also send Joan a list of staff in your unit requiring access to Cataloger's Desktop and LC Classification on the Web.

3. Send Joan information about any special projects or increased/decreased work that will have an impact on RLIN and OCLC for the next year. It is time to negotiate the fixed rate contracts for both. (This includes cost centers)

4. CCC members should work with staff in their areas to insure that they understand the Voyager Keep and Replace procedures. (Procedures attached).

5. Next meeting is Thursday May 23 at 10:00am room 409.
