Alternative Dates

Formulate alternative dates according to the instructions in the LCRI for AACR2 Appendix C7.  The form of the second date varies, according to decade and year within decade.  Don't guess!

Example 1 (two digits):

010:  : |a nr 00003708
040:  : |a CtY-BR |b eng |c CtY-BR
100:1 : |a Webster, George, |d 1830 or 31-1890
670/1:  : |a Why are sponsors appointed?, 1858: |b t.p. (George Webster, M.A. chancellor of the Cathedral of St. Finnbar's, Cork; rector of St. Nicholas'; and domestic chaplain to the Lord Bishop of Cork, Cloyne, and Ross)
670/2:  : |a Boase, F. Mod. Eng. bio. |b (Webster, George; b. 1830 or 1831 Dublin; d. 17 Dec. 1890; religious figure)

Example 2 (one digit):

010:  : |a nr 00024598
040:  : |a CtY-BR |b eng |c CtY-BR
100:1 : |a Burgess, William, |d 1778 or 9-1862
670/1:  : |a Two sermons, preached in the parish church of Kirby-Le-Soken, Essex ... 1834: |b t.p. (Rev. William Burgess, B.D., vicar of the parish)
670/2:  : |a Venn, J.A. Alumni Cantabrigienses |b (Burgess, William; d. 29 Apr. 1862, aged 83, Thorpe, England; vicar)

N.B.  Alternative dates are meant to represent two consecutive years.  Do not use this construction for non-consecutive years.
