Do not add imprecise dates (flourish dates or century dates)
to headings unless they are needed to break a conflict with another heading
(exception: never add a flourish or century date to a 20th cent. name,
even to break a conflict). Flourish dates that appear in reference
sources carry more weight than flourish dates constructed by catalogers.
Prefer a range of flourish dates over a single flourish date whenever possible. Always record flourish dates in 670 citations; they may be needed later
to break a conflict. Example 1: Flourish dates added to break conflict with another heading
