Subject: [Yulibl] Memo Regarding New Keyword Index Build Schedule
Dear Colleagues,
As the Library prepares to implement the Voyager Unicode release over the Christmas/New Years break, we will have a large number of records to be loaded into ORBIS, and that will mean an adjustment to the record load and keyword generation schedule. The records we will be loading include the vernacular language records for Hebrew, Yiddish, Arabic and Persian, and a large file a records that have recently undergone authority processing.
Beginning Friday October 21, new bibliographic records and changes to existing records created after noon on Fridays will not appear in the keyword index until the following week-end. The other indexes (author, title, subject, etc.) will be generated as usual, and existing records are all searchable by keyword. This change is because the weekly process of rebuilding the keyword index will start at noon on Friday rather than at 5pm. It affects work done only on Friday afternoon.
