Government Documents

By United States Federal Law or depository agreements, the collections of the Government Documents & Information Center are available for use by the public.

Researchers not affiliated with Yale University can access the Government Documents & Information Center collections in one of the following ways:

• Contact the Government Documents & Information Center (e-mail: govdoc@yale.edu ; telephone: 203-432-3211) to request that documents be sent to the Social Science Library for in-building use.
• Acquire a library card from the Library Privileges Office in order to request specific documents via the Orbis library catalog. Documents can be delivered to any Yale library for in-building use.
Purchase borrowing privileges in order to check government documents out of the library.
