Brief description
The BIBSAM consortium is operated by Kungl. biblioteket, the National Library of Sweden. It has 63 active member institutions including universities, university colleges, and government funded research institutions. The National Library manages about 25 licenses, including “big deal” agreements with scholarly journal publishers as well as agreements for abstract and indexing databases, encyclopaedias, and digital maps. A network of National Expert Libraries supported by the National Library negotiates additional agreements for subject-specific resources on behalf of the BIBSAM consortium.
