Erin McBurney '81
Erin McBurney graduated from Yale College in 1981. After Yale, Erin served in the U.S. Marine Corps and then worked at the Russian Research Center at Harvard and for the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. She is currently completing her PhD at Columbia in the field of 18th-century Russian history. This has enabled her to spend time in some of the finest research libraries in the world—including the British Library, Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the New York Public Library—but Sterling Memorial Library remains her favorite. Erin is married to James McBurney, Yale ’81; they have four children and reside in London.
