Excluded are works on the Apostolic Fathers, Nag Hammadi codices, Old Testament pseudepigrapha, certain early Syriac writings, early versions of the New Testament (e.g. the Diatessaron), and modern forgeries. The bibliography has two sections: (1) General, containing sections on studies, text editions, and translations; apocalyptic literature; apocryphal acts; canon; and fragments of unknown works.
