Divinity Library Marquand Chapel steeple

Hours, Directions & Lodging

Hours

During the school year, the Divinity Library is usually open seven days a week. Normal business hours are 8:30 am – 4:50 pm, Monday – Friday. During these times, the library is open both to the Divinity School community and to other visitors. Visitors to the library who are not part of the Yale University community are requested to sign the library's guestbook, located next to the Circulation Desk, when they visit the library.

During non-business hours (i.e., evenings and weekends) access to the Divinity School building, and hence the library, requires swiping the Yale ID to enter the Divinity School building. The ID cards of students, faculty and staff of the Divinity School are automatically set up for access into the building. However, other Yale students, faculty and staff do not have automatic access into the building on evenings and weekends with their Yale ID cards. Access may be requested by contacting the Divinity Librarian, Paul Stuehrenberg, at 432-5292, email paul.stuehrenberg@yale.edu. For more details on access to the library, please see the library's Access Policy.
