How to use the Internet

The Internet has many different components, such as electronic mail, newsgroups, the World-Wide Web, Gopher and file transfer protocol (ftp). This guide will introduce you only to the World-Wide Web, as it is the largest and fastest-growing section of the Internet. Many resources previously available in other formats are being transferred to the World-Wide Web.

There are three main ways to find information on the World-Wide Web.
