Carolyn Hardin Engelhardt
Director of the Ministry Resource Center
Carolyn Hardin Engelhardt has a B.A. from Hendrix College, Conway, Arkansas and M.Div. from Southern Methodist University. Carolyn's calling is to lay ministry. She has worked on the staff of a large congregation, directed an ecumenical organization, served as a consultant to congregations of many denominations, led training programs for the practice of ministry throughout the United States. She has written numerous articles related to the practice of ministry.
As a member of her congregation, she is co-leader of adult faith nurture groups, a member of the missions/social concerns team, a handbell player and a substitute organist. In the United Methodist denomination she has held numerous leadership positions and has been a delegate to the international conferences of the denomination. She serves on the Board of Ordained Ministry. In community leadership, among other positions, she served 18 years in political leadership having been elected to the Board of Education.
Carolyn loves to travel the world and back roads around here, cross-country ski, and get to know new people.
