Please submit the web form and respond to the confirmation email before you come to the library if possible.
In order to be cleared for examining restricted circulation material you must bring identification with you to the Special Collections Reading Room. Acceptable forms of identification are 1) a Yale ID or 2) a current passport or 3) two types of ID of which at least one must be a government-issued ID bearing your name, photograph, and an expiration date indicating current validity (e.g., driver's license, state-issued ID card). Second IDs for verification can include collegeIDs, credit cards, etc.

to the Yale Divinity Library Special Collections Reading Room.
Please note that we do not want to know folder numbers; only whole
boxes are retrieved. If you have any question about the relevance of the
material you are requesting for your area of research, please contact
