Main Library Opening hours

• Building: 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (Closes at 5p.m. on Sat.)
• Circulation and Main Reference: 8am to 10pm, Mon-Fri
• Some reading rooms and services: 8 to 11:30am and 1 to 5pm (lunch break)

Stacks access

• Open stacks for newer (1990s-) books
• Closed stacks for older books (need to fill out request slip and wait for staff retrieval)

Circulation policy

• Loan period: one month for books;
• Online renewal available

Course reserve

• Use in the Course Reserve Reading Room, usually no checkout

Interlibrary loan

• Can get books from other Chinese libraries
• May take too long to request books from American libraries

Photocopying

• Self-service available
• Different fee structure for foreigners (not sure if this applies to the Yale people in this program)
