Borrowing and Circulation in Sterling Memorial Library (SML) To find out the SML policies on loan periods, book renewals, book returns, and overdues, click here. Please first talk to the staff at the Circulation Desk in SML if you have problems with borrowing East Asian language materials. You may also call or send fax to the Access Services Department in SML for assistance: If you feel special assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to contact the East Asia Library staff. Interlibrary Loan and Borrow Direct If you are looking for materials not available in Yale libraries, you may request this material from other libraries through either Borrow Direct or Interlibrary Loan. Please follow the romanization rules when you search in BorrowDirect or fill out the ILL form; otherwise you or the ILL staff will have problem locating the materials (please refer to the guide to East Asian languages in Orbis for romanization rules). Document Delivery from East Asia It is possible for researchers at Yale to get photocopies of articles or even borrow books directly from libraries in East Asia. Please consult East Asia Library staff if such needs arise. |
