Usage Statistics for Yale University Library Subscribed Electronic Resources

Yale University [requires / strongly recommends] the availability or provision of statistics that delineate the use of networked resources for which YUL resources are expended. The preferred method of delivery for these statistics is via remote access where statistics can be consulted or retrieved at point of need.

Vendor Contacts should work with vendors in consultation with the E-Collections team to provide and improve the usage statistics supplied to YUL.

(3) Web site including Yale statistics available to any inquirer in the world

(4) Password protected website where YUL usage statistics are available via an administrative password which is also used for other administrative manipulation of options in the subscription.

Finally, vendors should supply stats for all resources (on a web site or otherwise) in a single location or collocation each month. This is particularly important if the statistics are not provided via the most preferred method via remote access where statistics can be consulted or retrieved at point of need.
