Al-Qaari Ad-Dawli ("The International Reader") (Kendall/Hunt Publishing Co., Dubuque, Iowa. Copyright 1999 by SAIS of John Hopkins University): This multimedia CD-ROM is designed to improve reading and listening skills in Arabic at the Advanced Level. It was specifically designed with students of international affairs in mind, but it is also appropriate for international affairs prefessionals now working in the field who wish to improve their skills in Arabic. It targets specific topics, specialized vocabulary, cultural information and reading and listening skills that occupations in international affairs require.
Al-Qur'an-il-Karim ("The Holy Qur'an") ( Heliopolis, Cairo, Sakhr Software CO., 1995): This is a multimedia version of Holy Qur'an. Its features include recitation of the whole Qur'an, the ability to search for particular words or expressions, browsing by subject in Islamic law, and tafsirs for each aya.
