The Sagas of Icelanders with lemmatized concordance (Iceland: Mal og menning, 1996): NOW IN SML CD-ROM REFERENCE CENTER, WORKSTATION 2; The Sagas of Icelanders are now for the first time available to scholars and other interested people in computerised form. All these unique Icelandic medieval narratives, a total of 40, exist on this CD-ROM, and are easily searchable. The CD-ROM also contains a lemmatized concordance, as well as a detailed thesaurus and dictionary. These sagas are printed with modern spelling to make it easier for the contemporary reader. Salt of the Earth (New York: Voyager, 1994): This multi-media CD-ROM, which contains the entire movie Salt of the Earth, includes articles, reviews, and autobiographies; photographs from the 1950 strike on which the film is based and from production of the film; critical, historical, and biographical essays; and a short film The Hollywood Ten, about the blacklisted makers of the film. Sauberung der Buchereien (Osnabruck: Zeller Verlag, 1997): Translated "Purging the Libraries", this CD-ROM catalogues politically undesirable literature in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) withdrawn from circulation according to Order No. 4 of the Allied Control Commission. It is an electronic reconstruction of the printed catalogue of National Socialist literature, purged between the years 1948-1951 and containing the current location of the titles.
Schillers Werke: Nationalausgabe (Alexandria: Chadwyck-Healey, Inc., 1999): Contains volumes 1-14 of the Nationalausgabe, which is the definitive edition of the works, letters and conversations of Friedrich Schiller. The original volume 6 is not included. A single user can connect to Schillers Werke Nationalausgabe online (requires Yale IP).
Il Seicento (Opera Multimedia SpA, 1995): A multimedia guide to Umberto Eco's tale of the European state.
Shakespeare: Adaptations & Editions (Alexandria: Chadwyck-Healey, Inc., 1995): NOW IN SML CD-ROM REFERENCE CENTER, WORKSTATION 2; Offers some audio performances in addition to text on CD-ROM. Shakespeare: The Complete Works (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1989): The Bard's complete works, in a searchable textbase.
Sherlock Holmes on disc (Portland, OR: Creative Multimedia, 1992): Contains the complete text of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories, as well as the accompanying linoleum block prints by Dr. George Wells. Also includes The Medical Casebook of Doctor Arthur Conan Doyle by Alvin E. Rodin and Jack D. Key and Medical Poetry by Dr. George S. Bascom. Browsable by index and table of contents.
Sourcebook of American History on CD-ROM (Mesa, AZ: Candlelight Publishing and Infobases International, 1992): Sourcebook of American History brings together nearly 20,000 pages of US history on CD-ROM. Get a close-up look at the people and events that shaped the nation through the writings of explorers, colonists, presidents, pioneers, and others. Sourcebook includes around 1,000 primary source documents as well as several full-color images. Volume I concludes with World War I.
Structuring XML Documents (Upper Saddle River, NJ: Prentice Hall, c1998).: This is a book and CD-ROM package. The book contains five detailed industry-standard models to help an XML user analyze and build Document Type Definitions (DTDs). The CD-ROM includes DTDs and XML parsing tools.
