Borrow Direct
Borrow Direct allows you to borrow books from a select group of participating academic libraries. Most books will be available for pickup within four business days. You can place your own requests using the Borrow Direct system.

Interlibrary Loan
The Interlibrary Loan service allows you to borrow books, journal articles and other materials from a large network of libraries. Complete a loan or photocopy request form and library staff will process your request.

Request that the Library Purchase a Book
Search Orbis to verify that the book is not owned by a Yale library. Within Orbis, click on Place Requests, and follow the instructions.
