Collection
Yale University became a selective depository for Canadian Federal government information
in 1961. It is one of approximately 50 depository libraries for Canadian information in
the United States. During the past 35 years Yale has built strong collections documenting
Canadian parliamentary and executive agency activities. The government information
collection complements and supplements the secondary literature collection, most of which
is housed in Sterling Memorial Library.

Units With Related Materials in the Yale Library System
Serials and monographs received prior to 1968 were catalogued, classified and housed
in Mudd and Sterling Memorial Library. Canadian provincial documents are collected
selectively and housed in Sterling Memorial Library (provincial documents are included
on the Canadian Research Index).
