New online collection: The National Security Agency: Organization and Operations, 1945-2009
Yale University Library now has access to the new online collection The National Security Agency: Organization and Operations, 1945-2009, through the Digital National Security Archive.
The National Security Agency: Organization and Operations, 1945-2009, is a uniquely detailed collection of records documenting the history, mission, and intelligence collection and analytic operations of America's largest and most secretive intelligence agency, the National Security Agency and its predecessor organizations. When complete, the collection will include some 2,200 documents, many of them written at the Top Secret Codeword level, culled from both archival sources and FOIA requests submitted to more than a dozen government departments and intelligence agencies over the past 25 years. Archival research has included a systematic search through the records currently held by the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, Maryland.
