Holly's PowerPoint presentation highlighted a variety of transportation options available to members of the Yale community and incentives available to Yale staff who participate in ridesharing programs or use public transportation. Holly's office works to help sponsor a variety of events to highlight sustainable transportation and announcements of future events will be posted to this blog.
Sterling Memorial Library is among ten units at Yale participating in the pilot Departmental Bike program. Departmental bicycles provide efficient campus transportation, reducing car trips and greenhouse gas emissions, and improving the mobility and health of all who use them. They are equipped with lights, fenders, panniers (to carry briefcases, laptops, etc.), a universal size helmet, and a combination U-lock. Library staff interested in using the bike may contact the Library Business Office.
