ACA was created to promote academic and professional
research, criticism, teaching, practical use, and exchange of principles and
theories of human communication. The Communication
Studies Center page includes links for mass media and culture, film studies,
gender & communication, and other subjects.
An international internet community for environment,
human rights, development and peace. APC seeks to ensure that the information
and communication needs of civil society (including freedom of expression and
exchange of information) are considered in telecommunications, donor and investment
policy.
The BUFVC is a representative body which promotes the
production, study and use of film and related media in higher education and
research.
CAC considers the role of creativity and innovation in
US and international life through research, analysis, publication and dialogue.
EIM is a think tank for research and strategy concerning
developments in European media and communications, based in Dusseldorf and Paris.

a Consumer Information Bureau, how to contact the FCC, and other aspects of
communication regulated by the FCC.
The Freedom Forum is a nonpartisan foundation dedicated to
free press, free speech and free spirit for all people. The foundation focuses on three
main priorities: the Newseum, First Amendment freedoms and newsroom diversity.
This site encourages scholarly discussion of popular
culture, and includes conference information, teaching tools, subject-specific

ICS provides education in communication and media studies,
and includes the Research Centre for Future Communications, and the Interdisciplinary
Research Centre for European Political Communications .
IAMCR is the largest international professional organisation
in the field of communication research. Established in 1957, the Association
now has over 2300 members in some 70 countries.
IAMHist is a family of professional film and television
broadcasters, scholars, and others who are concerned about film, radio, television
and their relations to history.
NAB is a trade association and lobbying group that promotes
and protects the interests of radio and television broadcasters in Washington
and around the world.
NCA is a scholarly society and as such works to enhance
the research, teaching, and service produced by its members on topics of both
intellectual and social significance. See especially its Critical

The V.I.I. is an internet based, independent telecommunications
and mass media research facility, managed by the Columbia Institute for Tele-Information
at Columbia Business School, at Columbia University, New York. Its mission is
to research and exhibit telecommunications and mass media information, and their
implications for the future economic and social development of society .
