Present: Kevin Glick, Bobbie Pilette, David Gewirtz, E.C. Schroeder

Absent: Audrey Novak, Ann Green

The discussion continued on the original/copy topic. The decision was to insert a modified first sentence into paragraph 5 of the policy, to then review the whole paragraph with the new sentence and have Ann and Audrey also weigh in on this.

Proposed modified first sentence of paragraph 5: Selectors, curators and bibliographers in consultation with technical experts must specify the requirements so that a copy of an original digital resource can be considered an equivalent.

It was proposed that the discussion papers on the original/copy topic be combined and posted on the web site.

Action:

· Kevin will re-work the “original” argument to be combined with David’s response and posted on the DPC web site

· Definitions to Bobbie via email by Friday, June 10 who will put out draft version 5b with modified sentence and proposed definitions.
