Project 03 : Electronic Reserves Prototype
Meeting Summary: July 13, 2006
Sue raised the issue of e-reserves being suggested vs. required readings. - Is this a 'required reading program'? Decision not made - may depend on results of pilot related to time and money.
Workflow:
-Obtain syllabus - reading list.
-Search the list - Orbis / SFX.
-Find items not electronic.
-Send what to be digitized to RIS - with form of what to digitize - along with stop/start pages noted?
-Circ will make patron records to discharge the item to RIS.
-We need to come up with naming conventions for the pdfs.
-If you are using Orbis to enter the records - enter a record into Course Reserves before sending it to RIS - then you can note the digitization is in process.
-We need to figure out where to put the .pdfs.
-One folder for each term - term/course/.pdfs.
-PDF's behind the CAS.
