Project 03 : Electronic Reserves Prototype
Meeting Summary: August 10, 2006
This week's meeting was short. Comments about the Orbis template, RIS yellow form and the workflow document were discussed. Jen has drafted documentation on using the Orbis template and the entire E-reserves Workflow process - these documents are available on the e-reserves site.
Hannah processed items through RIS - there was concern the items had not been loaded onto the server - it was later confirmed they had been copied as expected.
Hannah raised the question of digitizing rare or damaged materials - these materials should be sent through Jen.
The workflow to load .pdfs obtained from faculty was reviewed - staff in the e-reserves pilot have access to the share where these files should be loaded. Contact Ernie Marinko with questions if you have a problem loading materials onto the share..
There are now records in Orbis - the course reserve feed into Sakai will be tested the week of August 14.
