Project 03 : Electronic Reserves Prototype
Updates indicate all courses are on schedule for digitization to be completed in time for the start of term.
We should consider what statistics we wish to gather from Orbis - Kalee will check into what is available from the Orbis Course Reserves module.
We reviewed the revised scanning standards to be done by RIS and confirmed that we have chosen the correct settings. RIS will rescan documents if necessary - Hannah will check to see if that is required for her scans.
We should consider if we want an on-line for faculty to fill-out to make requests - instead of giving us the syllabus. There was division on whether the form was a benefit or not. More dicussion on this topic as we work through our recommendations for the spring and beyond.
The addition of the target=blank code to the URL in Orbis does force the .pdf download screen to load into a new window - this is a benefit. However, the download from Sakai contains the incorrect URL as the target=blank code is attached to the URL. It was determined by the 8/31 meeting that Roy will remove this text from the RSS feed into Sakai - documentation will be adjusted accordingly.
