Digital Production & Integration Program (DPIP)
Project 03 : Electronic Reserves Prototype
Meeting Summary: DPIP Core and RIS 6/29/2006
RIS is looking to changing the course pack model - they digitize and copyright for everything - even if the Library has it electronically.
The first week of August to the last week of September is busy for them - bad time to expect quick work.
Question - do faculty want both course packs and e-reserves? (Note: Katie's assessment should tell us this.)
We will need to send faculty/course info to RIS with each item and note pages to be digitized and if copyright needs to be obtained.
We will get student counts from Sakai and send them along later in the semester for copyright payment.
We should coordinate a meeting with Jeff on the logistics of the shipping, scanning and copyright clearance.
Fragile books will be scanned in the DCF.
RIS has a courier service that could pick up the materials.
