Step Two: Which Index?

Journals and magazines have traditionally been indexed, not individually, but by separately published subject-based or general interest indexes.

  • Example: Time doesn't have its own index, but is indexed with several hundred other magazines in Readers' Guide and Academic Search
To identify an index covering the subject you're interested in, begin with one of the following guides available through the library home page:
