Video capturing: ScreenCam or SnagIt
Image capturing: HiJaack or SnagIt
Audio capability: speakers, audio software, etc. (Heart Sounds)
These tools can be used to create dynamic presentations, interesting and informative handouts, and as a backup in case the network connection goes down.
PLAN B: when dealing with computers one has to assume Murphy’s Law; be prepared to continue instruction in the face of computer/network failure if at all possible. Attendees have taken time out of their schedule to appear, and in most cases the use of slide presentations, captures graphics/screens, guided exercises can ease the loss of hands-on activities.
