3. SUBSCRIBING TO CLARINEWS GROUPS IN PINE
SUBSCRIBING TO A SINGLE GROUP
Highlight a group you are interested in, and type
S (Subscribe) to select a single group from this point. This command will require
you to confirm that you want to subscribe to the group. Hit enter, or cancel your
request by typing ^C (hold the control key and type c). Do not select groups
that have the word "web" in the name; see the previous
page for details.
SUBSCRIBING TO MULTIPLE GROUPS
It is possible to subscribe to several groups at once. Type
L (List) now to invoke "list mode." This will bring up boxes to the left of the
group names. As you scroll through the list, or continue to search using the W
(Whereis) command, you can select groups to subscribe to by highlighting them
and hitting enter. When you are finished selecting groups, type S (Subscribe).
Confirm the request by typing Y (Yes) or cancel it by typing ^C (hold the control
key and type c).
